Summer 1 2017 (April/May)

Our learning journey this half term is focused around Living Things. We will be learning about pets and wild animals. We will be thinking about wild animals in Britain like, foxes, badgers, moles, deer, squirrels, hares and so on. We will be thinking about plants. How do plants grow? Some plants are food and some are not. We will be comparing and contrasting different plants. Perhaps you could help your child at home to plant seeds and watch them grow.

Throughout our learning we will be encouraging the children to think and to develop their language. we will be using the key questions "What's the same?" and "What's different?" Please use these questions at home to encourage your child to observe, think and talk about lots of different things, particularly living things.
