Special Events

Friday 17th November 2017: What an amazing day we have all had raising money for Children In Need and also celebrating our Class Bear Snowy's 5th birthday as part of our special topic! The children enjoyed taking part in our whole school Danceathon and were excited to be invited to Snowy's birthday party where we played pass the parcel and shared his birthday cake. Redberry had been preparing for the big event all week by making party lists, wrapping presents, writing invitations, designing bithday cards and creating 'cakes' in our mud kitchen outside. Thank you for all of your fantastic support.

The children have shown great confidence and enjoyment when taking part in our weekly Forest Schools activities. Redberry class love taking on new challenges and have shown fantastic perseverance and responsibility when handling new resources and equipment!

As part of our 'Celebrations' topic we have been learning about the Hindu festival 'Diwali'; The Festival of Light'! We have listened carefully to the story of 'Rama and Sita', learnt Diwali dancing, made clay divas and created Rangoli patterns using coloured rice and pasta. Take a look at our fantastic photos.

Our Class Assembly!

We had a great time sharing our learning all about the Little Red Hen and Autumn. Laurel and Redberry Class told the story of the Little Red Hen, we shared the Red Hen rap and taught our parents how to make bread. then we sang our Autumn songs!

Thank you for coming to watch us. Our confidence is growing and we already have a lot of learning to look back on with pride.

We are looking forward to sharing more learning with you next half term!

We had a fantastic morning at Greens Windmill. The children enjoyed making bread and learning all about how the windmill works. They also showed great confidence when remebering and retelling The Little Red Hen story. Mrs Keeling and I were very proud of how they behaved. Thanks to all our helpers too!

Redberry children have started brushing their teeth in school! Two minutes soon whizzed by! Well done everyone.

Redberry had a fantastic time visiting Beeston Library today! They enjoyed looking at and choosing books to share at home and learnt all about how the library works and what it has to offer. A lovely afternoon out and thanks to all of our helpers!. We are very proud of you Redberry class!

We have been sharing the book 'Funny Bones' as part of our 'Magic Me' topic. We have been thinking about our school value 'Diversity'. We are all different in some ways but underneath we are all the same. Take a look at our fantastic skeleton pictures! Can you spot your work on Mrs Keeling's fantastic Funnybones display?
