This autumn term, we have unveiled a brand new topic for Year 4, ‘The Fairground’.
This Science and D&T based topic will give the children the opportunity to explore electricity, and they will face the exciting prospect of designing and making their own fairground games.
Within this topic, children will also have the opportunity to visit a real-life fairground! The children’s learning will culminate in a special open morning where you will be invited to join us in the classroom to share your child’s work.
We showed our creativity by designing and building our own 'Shaky Hand Testers' based on the fairground.
For our open morning, we invited our families to join us in creating collages. We cut out people from paper and showed them taking part in a range of the activities that we had seen on our trip.
On the last day of term, children who had completed a homework project shared their work with the class. We saw some wonderful drawings and models and we were impressed by a character created with coding software.
