What's on the Menu?

During the first half of the summer term, our topic is ‘What’s On the Menu?’.

This science based topic will give the children the opportunity to explore the organs within the digestive system and their functions, as well as studying the food chains of animals. Additionally, children will be getting hands on with  some small creatures and using this experience as inspiration for their artwork.

Whitepost Farm visited us in an Animal Roadshow.  We got to meet lots of different creatures.  Some were cute and fluffy; others were cool and scaly.

Final Outcome

For our final outcome, we invited our adults into the school to share in our learning.

We were each responsible for one area of our learning journey.  We had to prepare resources and share the information on our table with visitors.

We created games, posters and fact sheets, and we tried to make our stand informative, interactive and entertaining.

Our visitors really enjoyed the experience.  Here is what they had to say:

‘Everyone has put in a lot of effort.’

‘It was all amazing – I loved the bum sandwiches!’

‘You have all worked very hard.’
