Bee’s knees task

Today we are re-writing the story of Funnybones, but as if the story is set in Beeston.

Try to write a sentence about each picture on your story map plan.

Tomorrow we will be doing our Bee’s Knees task, in which we will be writing our own version of the Funnybones story set in Beeston.

Today we are planning our writing. Draw a story map of what is going to happen in your story. Add in some geographical features of Beeston for your skeletons to pass on their walk. Use your list of nouns from yesterday to help you.

Today we are making a story map of Funnybones in Beeston.

Tuesday 13th October 2020

LC: I can identify nouns.

Today in writing we are looking at nouns. Nouns are naming words. They might be the name of a person, place or object.

Start today’s lesson by listening to or reading Funnybones.

Make a list of the nouns that the skeletons pass on their walk.

After that, make a list of nouns that the skeletons could pass if they were walking around Beeston.

Finally, have a go at writing some sentences using your Beeston nouns. Imagine the Funnybones story is happening in Beeston. Where will they go past on their walk?

Try your best to remember capital letters, finger spaces and full stops in all of your sentences.
