Monday 1st June LC: I can identify nouns.

Over the next 2 weeks the children will be learning to write a descriptive text. We will be learning to describe pictures of different story settings by coming up with ideas for relevant nouns, verbs and adjectives, then using these in sentences to write about what the scene looks like.

Friday 15th May LC: I can edit and improve a text.

Thursday 14th May LC: I can write a narrative text.

Tuesday 12th May LC: I can identify adjectives.

Monday 11th May LC: I can identify verbs.

Thursday 7th May LC: I can identify nouns.

For the next topic of writing, children will be working towards writing their own version of 'We're going on a bear hunt'. Unlike the book, our children will be going on an animal hunt around their own house. 

Friday 1st May LC: I can edit and improve my work.

Thursday 30th April LC: I can write a non-fiction text.

Tuesday 28th April LC: I can use conjunctions.

Monday 27th April LC: I can write a factual statement.

Wednesday 22nd April LC: I can identify features of a text.

For the next 2 weeks in writing, we will be working towards writing a non-fiction text about rhinos. The lessons in the sequence are designed to allow children to understand and practise the key features of non-fiction texts before their independent 'Bee's knees' task at the end.

1st April 2020 LC: I can use time connectives.

30th March 2020 LC: I can use adjectives.

26th March 2020 LC: I can write in the past tense.

25th March 2020 LC: I can write in the first person.

For the next 2 weeks in writing, we will be working towards writing a recount of our Yorkshire Wildlife Park trip. For those children who did not attend, I have added suggestions of what you could do in the document above on page 2. If you have any questions feel free to email me on purple mash!
