To get us thinking about materials, we tried to name as many different materials as we could with our partner. We only had two minutes but we came up with lots of ideas.
We then were given a little paper-towel person and asked to build them a house. We used paper, fabric, bubble-wrap, tape and pegs to construct our shelters.
Our shelters were then tested in 'storm' conditions. We couldn't wait to see if our houses would survive the wind and rain.
We went on a materials hunt around the school.
We looked for wood, plastic, stone, glass and cloth.
The project homework task was to find out about scientists who had made a difference to the world.
