Within our school, we want our children to know:

• That the local area has many natural and man-made features which can be explored by different modes of transport
• That there are interesting animals and wildlife in the local area
• That the area has changed over time and is now quite different from its silk weaving past
• That the world around them continues to change with the seasons

After we had completed the half-term, children were shown some visual reminders and asked to recall what they had learnt and to apply that to answer the question. Their responses were drawn together into the following visual reminder for the children.
