Our enquiry question for this term is:

Is change always for the better?

Our Enquiry lessons this term are mainly History based! We will explore the lives of the Anglo Saxons and the Vikings. We will look at lots of different aspects of life at this time in history including; settlements, Kingdoms and the conflicts between the Anglo Saxons and Vikings. In Science, we will be studying materials. We will look at solids, liquids and gases and how we can create reversible and irreversible changes between the different states.

In Art we will thinking about how we can use colour to create mood as well as creating repeating patterns!

In PSHE we will cover two topics 'Dreams and Goals' and 'Healthy Me' (including some basic first aid). During 'Dreams and Goals' we will be exploring different jobs and the children will be identifying what they would like to do when they grow up. We will also consider dreams and goals of young people who live in cultures different to ours. In our 'Healthy Me' unit we will be looking at the risks of smoking and drinking alcohol and how this can lead to anti-social behaviour. We will also be considering body image and how media and celebrity culture promotes certain body types. Finally we will think about what makes a healthy life style.
