Useful Information
School Uniform
All children are expected to wear the school uniform:
- Grey/black trousers, skirt, pinafore or shorts.
- White shirt, blouse or polo shirt.
- During warmer weather, children may wear a blue check dress.
- Blue jumper or cardigan.
- Black shoes.
- Children have the option of wearing our school tie.
Labelling
All items brought into school should be labelled with the child's name (including bags and coats). Children are responsible for their garments and equipment.
Other items
Please do not bring anything else from home other than a water bottle, lunchbox, reading diary and reading book.
PE - Wednesday and Friday.
Children need to ensure that they are wearing the correct PE kit on this day. The school PE kit is a plain white t-shirt, blue/black shorts or jogging bottoms and plimsolls or trainers. No earrings or jewellery is allowed to be worn during PE lessons.
All children are asked to bring in their own water bottle which they will have access to during PE lessons and during lesson times.
Mornings
School gates will be open by 8:45 am. Each class will line up with their teacher on the playground and walk in at 8:55 am. Registration will begin promptly once the class are in their classroom, so please make sure your child is on time. If you arrive late, you need to come in through the School Office.
Lunchtimes
Lunch is at 12.00pm. Year 5 children will begin with a session of outside play, supervised by our midday supervisors. They will then go into the halls to eat their lunches. As we are a healthy school, please provide a healthy lunchbox if your child is having a packed lunch. Beeston Fields is a nut-free school, so please do not pack any products containing nuts.
Home time
Children will be dismissed at 3:30 pm from the playground. If children are walking home alone, then a permission form (available from the school office) is needed to confirm that children are not being collected by an adult. If your child is being collected by a different adult on a particular day then the teacher must be informed. Without this, children will not be allowed to leave the school grounds.
