Within our school, we want our children to know:

• That the UK consists of varied and contrasting habitats
• That the UK is just one of many countries, and these other countries contrast with the UK
• That all countries have features which make them special
• That explorers travel to find out more about the world

After we had completed the half-term, children were shown some visual reminders and asked to recall what they had learnt and to apply that to answer the question. Their responses were drawn together into the following visual reminder for the children.
