This topic started with a message tied to a balloon! A fairground owner wanted us to think about the positives and negatives of hosting our own fair. He also gave us a list of tasks to work on over the coming weeks.
As part of our work we have been looking at electricity and circuits.
We talked lots about the different rides at a fairground. In Art, we used the 'wax resist' technique to create our own ride-inspired images.
We designed and built Shaky Hand Testers.
We sent out invitations for our open afternoon.
The children designed mascots for their project homework. Look at all their great ideas!
For our open afternoon, we set up a stall for our Shaky Hand testers, our mascots and our art work. There were also some fairground-style games to play. We were excited to share our learning with our friends and families and we even had mushy peas to end the afternoon!
