In Literacy we read a variety of fiction and non-fiction books. We love retelling stories using actions to help us remember the sequence. When looking at non-fiction texts we enjoy learning new facts, writing instructions and writing information leaflets.
Talk For Writing
We have been learning about the story 'Harry and the Dinosaurs go to School' by Ian Whybrow. We used our 'Talk For Writing' skills to help us remember the sequence of the story. This really helped us with our writing because we remembered all the actions and words! Watch our video of our amazing version of the story!
Talk For Writing Video - 'Harry and the Dinosaurs go to School'
The Mobile Library came to school and we had the opportunity to browse some new and exciting books! We love reading books and learning new information. We will ask our parents and carers to take us to our Local Library so that we can read more at home too.
'Kidnap the Parents'!
On the first Friday of every month we invite our parents into school to share books with the children. It is a great way of interacting with the children and sharing the love for reading with our friends and family.
